GGPoker will begin enforcing its ban on third-party poker software on Dec. 1, when its client is set to activate automated warnings for detected programs. Players who do not close flagged software risk a temporary suspension or a permanent ban.
The detection system will continuously scan for prohibited tools and prompt a player to terminate a program immediately when one is found. After Dec. 1, the GGPoker client will not run while a listed application is open, including where a player is using the program for another poker site on the same computer.
The prohibited list names Jurojin, PokerTracker 4, Hand2Note, Hold’em Manager 3, StarsCaption, DriveHUD 2, Intuitive Tables, Lobbyze, Equilab and AutoHotkey. Developers must remove all compatibility with the GG Network before their software can be taken off the warning list.
GGPoker will begin rolling out native multi-tabling features on Oct. 23, before enforcement starts. The additions include table swapping, layout locking and focus management, while operating-system window-management tools such as PowerToys and Rectangle remain permitted.
As reported Oct. 15, GGPoker had already introduced the software restriction as one of five security measures following a superuser incident involving compromised Jurojin and Intuitive Tables software. The operator said it had previously allowed some third-party products that did not affect gameplay, but tightened the policy because such tools can access game data, interact with tables or automate actions beyond its control.
Tampered Jurojin update packages were intermittently supplied to some users between June 2025 and January 2026. Some packages contained a remote-access tool, and Jurojin said the attacker targeted particular high-stakes opponents to view their hole cards; it also said IntuitiveTables and phishing sites impersonating poker rooms and tools had been targeted.
The broader security overhaul includes an optional Client Security section with Screen Guard, Connection Monitor, Process Check and DNS Check. Screen Guard is designed to prevent screenshots, recordings, screen sharing and remote-viewing applications from seeing tables and hole cards, while GGPoker has also introduced abnormal high win-rate detection to examine decisions against opponents’ actual cards.
GGPoker said it traced funds linked to the incident to a crypto-wallet address and shared information with Coinbase, industry networks tracking illicit funds and law enforcement. Jurojin Poker has criticised the blanket prohibition as heavy-handed, arguing that third-party tools themselves should not be treated as the threat.
GGPoker is also scheduled to end support in 2027 for Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and macOS 11 or earlier, and recommends that players update to at least Windows 10 or macOS 12.
