ACR Poker has set out a broader integrity response combining ScreenShield protections against certain screen-capture tools with checks by GTO Wizard for signs that hands played on its network were solved during play.

Winning Poker Network contacted players whose devices met its detection criteria on Sept. 29 and enabled ScreenShield as an additional precaution. The network said its review found no compromise of its systems, poker software or official downloads, while its Game Integrity team continued examining relevant player and account activity.

As we reported on Sept. 29, WPN had activated ScreenShield for identified users after remote-access concerns raised the prospect that attackers could view table content. The company stressed that detecting remote-access, screen-sharing or screen-control capability does not alone establish either a compromised device or cheating.

ScreenShield is designed to keep protected table content out of the screen-capture and screen-sharing methods it covers, while allowing a player to view and play at the table normally. It can, however, interfere with legitimate streaming, recording and screen sharing, and does not address every possible threat.

WPN therefore has not applied the tool to every account. Remote-access and capture software can be used for work meetings, collaboration, technical support, content creation and review of completed sessions. Players may request activation through support, with the process taking up to 48 hours.

The network said it would conduct regular scans and activate the feature more proactively when its criteria are met. Phil Nagy, WPN’s chief executive, described ScreenShield as “another layer of protection, not a magic button.”

Alongside the client protections, ACR and GTO Wizard are cooperating to cross-check whether situations played on ACR were solved in GTO Wizard. The work is intended to support detection of prohibited solver use during play, drawing on GTO Wizard’s Fair Play Check, which includes preflop ICM solutions and the times they were generated.

The companies are working toward analysis of every ACR final table, rather than claiming that universal final-table coverage is already in place. GTO Wizard says its system can allow operators to check at scale whether boards dealt on their networks were consulted on its service in real time, while acknowledging that private tools remain a broader integrity challenge.

WPN has also provided other online poker operators with guidance on implementing comparable table protection, although the disclosure does not establish that any operator has adopted it. Compensation for affected WPN players will depend on the continuing investigation establishing wrongdoing and harm.

A client-side control allowing players to switch ScreenShield on or off directly remains in development.
